Nissan partnered with Star Wars for the release of Rogue One: A Star wars story and created a custom Nissan Rogue to support the film. The Rogue had Nissan’s most cutting edge, intelligent-safety features. I was privileged to work in both pre and post production phases of this TV/Cinema launch spot. The challenge was how to bring the world of Nissan and Stars wars together without breaking intergalactic (Disney) rules. The team wrote a story that recreated a scene from the film in a simulation testing ground for the cars features. Even though I didn’t make it to set, It was a dream fulfilled bringing this spot to life. We also coordinated with Critical Mass, delivering elements from the film so they could create a 360° VR mobile experience called Battle Test; The feature won a Bronze Lion at Cannes.
